Cancellation Policy

Changes are always subject to availability and may result in price adjustments. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance.

Non-Refundable Deposit
Your deposit is non-refundable once your booking is confirmed.
More than 60 days before arrival
Payments made after the initial deposit are eligible for a refund, subject to any non-refundable hotel, activity, or supplier costs already incurred.
60 days or less before arrival
Cancellations within 60 days are subject to a 100% cancellation fee.
Booking Changes
If you need to change your travel dates, you may transfer your deposit and any payments already made to a new trip date, subject to availability and any applicable supplier costs. Your new travel date must be within 365 days of your original scheduled departure date.

How do I choose my dates of travel?
Choose the travel package that best matches your travel style and budget, then continue to the booking page. During checkout, you'll select your preferred travel dates and hotel. Don't worry if your plans change—your dates can be updated later. Once your booking is received, our team will confirm hotel availability and finalize your itinerary based on your selected dates.
What airport do I fly into?
All guests should fly into Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) in Zanzibar, Tanzania. Our team will arrange a private airport pickup and drop-off so your arrival and departure are smooth and comfortable.
Are flights included?
Some Naru packages include international flights, while others do not. Please check the What's Included section on your selected package to see exactly what's covered. If flights aren't included, you'll simply book your own from your preferred departure city. We're always happy to recommend the best flight options, arrival times, and routes to ensure they fit seamlessly with your itinerary.
What is the price for single occupancy?
All packages are priced based on double occupancy, with two travelers sharing a room. If you are traveling solo or prefer a private room, an additional single occupancy fee will apply. The exact amount depends on the selected hotel and travel package. You can see the fee and add it to your trip during the booking process.
How do I make changes to my trip?
Every Naru trip is fully customizable. If you want to swap an experience, add extra nights, upgrade your hotel, or create something completely unique, we're happy to tailor your itinerary to match your travel style, interests, and budget. Simply let your trip designer know what you're looking for.
What accommodation is included in my stay?
Every Naru package includes a stay at one of our recommended 4 or 5-star hotels in Zanzibar. When you click Book, you'll be able to choose from a curated selection of hotels. Select the property that best matches your style and budget, and it will automatically be included in your package price. Each hotel has been carefully chosen by the Naru team for its service, location, and overall guest experience.
Do I need a visa or travel insurance to visit Zanzibar?
Most travelers will need a Tanzania tourist visa, which also covers entry to Zanzibar. Depending on your nationality, you can apply online through the Tanzania eVisa system or obtain a visa on arrival. All visitors to Zanzibar are also required to purchase Zanzibar Inbound Travel Insurance before entering the island. We recommend purchasing it online before travel to avoid delays. Purchase the mandatory insurance through the official Zanzibar portal: inbound.visitzanzibar.go.tz.
